Dull-ing Darling

DSC02221
Chuping-Padang Besar, Jun 2009

Kehidupan hari-hari macam ini memang membosankan.

Sangat membosankan sampaikan boleh buat gua sakit jantung dan sakit otak.

Bangun pagi pergi kelas balik kelas. Petang main bola kalau tak hujan. Malam buka buku kalau terasa rajin. Gua rasa macam binatang liar yang dicampak ke dalam zoo.

I'm awake but all my senses are asleep.

Bosan.

Gua rindu untuk kembali ke habitat asal gua.

Di jalanan, di tempat asing.

I really miss the sea breeze of Kota Kinabalu, the polluted air and the crazy traffic of Saigon, the dirty and grotty street food of Thailand, the friendly and beautiful people of Siem Reap, the illustrous history of Melaka and Phnom Penh, the glorious and exquisite cuisine of Penang, the beautiful little paradise of Perhentian, I miss all of them.

Perasaan berasa di jalanan sememangnya sukar untuk digambarkan.

Semua masalah dan kekusutan tertinggal sebaik saja langkah pertama diambil. The anticipation, the excitement, it feels overwhelmingly good. You got the feeling that the whole world is just there waiting for you to explore the endless beauty it offers.

You feel alive.

Ah sudahlah.
Gua mahu tidur dulu.

Dan kembali ke habitat asal gua.

Dalam mimpi gua, gua mahu start pack gua punya barang and hit the road once again.

I need to feel alive, in order to be alive.

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!” - Hunter S. Thompson
