Well here's the story.

Ike Ditzenberger has Down Syndrome. He is so obsessed with American football that his coach agreed to play him usually at the last minute of the game. "Ike Special", as the move is called, also involve collaborations from the opponent. They will run and jump at Ike, just to make it more real, more special for Ike. It makes Ike feels like a normal person.
